Tequila produced using traditional, hands-on techniques is passed down through the generations, and your host will walk you through each step of this tried and true process. While Chef’s menus change depending upon the season, you are sure to discover tantalizing flavors that will add to your culinary repertoire.
Hands-On Cooking Class with Resort Chefs
Meet the award-winning Executive Chef Fred Ruiz and have a unique culinary experience – Mexican style! Born in Chapala, in the state of Jalisco near Guadalajara, Chef Ruiz grew up in California where he gained a lifelong love for the art of cooking. The charm and flavors of Chef’s creations have been internationally recognized, giving him the opportunity to cook directly for Presidents Nixon, Ford and Reagan, as well as private parties hosted by Frank Sinatra, among other Palm Springs area stars. His cuisine, fresh and elegant, fuses elements of various cultures to create innovative dishes inspired by his Mexican roots. Now you have the opportunity to learn from the master, and the top chefs who work under his guidance. Your hands-on cooking class will include a tour of the resort’s culinary operations (the city under the resort), in addition to learning professional techniques as you help create a delicious meal to be enjoyed at the conclusion of your instruction.
All Ground Transfers
Although the resort is not far from the Puerto Vallarta International Airport, it is a world apart. Your package includes transportation to and from the airport, along with any excursions required to accommodate activities represented in your culinary vacation. You will fly into Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport (PVR) where you will be greeted by your driver and taken directly to the resort. Airfare is not included in your package, but you will find that most North American airport hubs provide conveniently scheduled service in and out of Puerto Vallarta.
