This historic mansion dates back to 1580, when it was the city home to the Marquess of Gravezon. The Gravezon and the Forbin families lived in this luxury urban residence which looked out on the most beautiful square of Avignon until the French revolution when it was converted to a grand hotel. Chef Bruno d’Angelis is delighted to be able to share the pleasures of preparing the special Provençal dishes he serves in the Michelin rated restaurant. You will spend the first session learning the art of mise en place (a French term meaning “everything in its place”). Then it is on to the more serious culinary endeavors as you rub elbows with the chef preparing your gourmet lunch to be enjoyed at the conclusion of your instruction.

Palace of the Popes Tour
Northern to the Palace of the Popes and Avignon, the village of Gigondas and Beaumes de Venise, and many others situated at the base of "the Dentelles of Montmirail" make wonderful stops where you can learn to appreciate the excellent Côtes du Rhône wines. In nearby Orange you will be able to visit the best preserved Roman theatre in the world.
Medieval Gordes Tour
In Roussillon the beauty of the red and yellow ocre coloured landscape will overwhelm you. After leaving the old fortress town of Gordes medieval like the Palace of Popes of Avignon you will come by the Cistercian Abbey of Senanque surrounded by its lavender fields.
La Camargue and Les Saintes Maries de la mer
After having admired the giantism of the Palace of the Popes and the Pont du Gard not far from Avignon, you can continue in the direction of "la Camargue", a flamingo and bull paradise where you can finish your trip with a visit of the small fisher village "Les Saintes Maries de la mer".
St. Remy and Arles
In St Remy and Arles, only a few kilometers away from your luxury hotel, you will find the colours of the south of France that VAN GOGH enjoyed so much. From the heights of "les Baux" you will have a breath taking view over the surrounded area.
